Mystery Quilt for the New Year (Part 3)

Step 4: Assemble 9-patch Stars

Cut 36, 3 ½" squares SP.
Layout plain squares SP, Quarter Square Blocks, and 9-Patch Blocks and stictch together as shown:

Press seams in opposing directions to make matching easier.
You should have nine completed 9-Patch Star blocks. You will have extra 9-Patch blocks. Save these for use in contstructing pieced border.
