Step 5: Assemble center of quilt top

    On-Point setting

Cut SP for alternate squares and edge and corner triangles:
    4 - 9½" squares for alternate blocks
    2 - 17" squares cut into quarters diagonally for edge triangles
    2 - 7½" squares cut in half diagonally for corners

Assemble 9-Patch Stars with alternate squares and edge triangles in diagonal rows, keeping straight grain on quilt edge.

Join rows.

Add corner triangles to complete quilt center.
