Our opportunity quilt for 2008 was created by several members of the
Piecemakers Guild from a pattern by
Jackie Robinson.
It made its debut at Ardenwood on Sunday, May 18 for Firetruck Days.
Everyone there loved it. There are several women who worked hard to
get this quilt finished.
- Pat Mattison did a magnificent job of piecing the quilt,
- Marla Monson did a fabulous job of machine quilting,
- Marta Price and Doris Bradshaw blocked the quilt,
- Carlene Stoffers attached the binding and finished the corners in record time,
- Doris Bradshaw and Gwen George could make fast work of the binding.
You can purchase a raffle ticket
and have a chance to win this beautiful quilt. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5.
You need not be present to win. All proceeds go to benefit the
quild by paying for the materials used in the quilt as well as for
fabric and batting for the 200+ quilts that are given to the community every
year.
The opportunity quilt is a lovely way for you to help the community, and you might
win a gorgeous quilt! Thanks in advance for all of your support.
