2002 Opportunity Quilt . . .
"Victorian Jewel Pieces of the Past"
"Victorian Jewel Pieces of the Past" is our opportunity quilt for 2002. The blocks were pieced by the Wednesday Night Quilters and have been hand embroidered by many of our members. Special thanks to Jenny Basset for her wonderful donations of velvets and satins. Thanks in advance for all of your support.
A repsponse from the winner of this quilt...
To the Piecemakers:
I want you to know why winning this beautiful quilt is so special to me.
The outing to PIQF this year was in the nature of a special celebration;
my friend and I were celebrating birthdays, but more importantly it was
my first outing after a long year under treatment for breast cancer. I
was not sure I was physically up to the challenge of the travel and the
show, but it turned out to be a really wonderful weekend. I loved the
quilt, but since I have never won anything I was very surprised by the
phone call telling me that I had. It will hang on my wall at home where
it will be a remembrance of a very special weekend as well as something
of beauty. Thank you so much.
The opportunity quilt is a lovely way for you to help the community, and you might win a gorgeous quilt! Thanks for all of your support.
